CAREGIVER DOCUMENTATION SOFTWARE
What is TotalDoc?
TotalDoc is a quick and easy to use method for caregivers of all types to complete their patient encounter documentation, write letters, complete
forms, request LONs, etc.
Briefly, TotalDoc works like this:
A caregiver uses a hand-held scanner to scan bar codes printed on paper, which is usually placed on the wall in the examining rooms.
The caregiver scans these codes and produces a set of text notes in a flowing or bullet form, at the rate of one to one and one-half pages
of single spaced typewritten notes per minute.
TotalDoc notes are Medicare compliant, meaning that once signed, the notes cannot be changed--only appended to.
The TotalDoc system is database driven, and not text driven, meaning that a user can perform queries on information contained in the notes.
TotalDoc "tokens" represent the written text. The text is customizable to whatever extent the caregiver wishes.
Notes completed with the product are accurate, quick, and easy. Our physician partner, Dr. Lenord Horwitz, does not need to spend long hours in
the office or at home completing his notes. You should ask him about this. He can be reached at 800-322-3668.
On the average, it takes about three minutes to create and check a note. Compare this to about 30-45 minutes for the transcription of like documentation.
For Therapy Caregivers, TotalDoc can generate HCFA 700 and 701 forms.
